A Mother’s experience in teaching her child to read with Minecraft

I have known about the power of Minecraft for a while. It has opened up a whole new world for my son, and has been a real boost to his ability to socialise as he has bonded with like minded people over the game. A workshop for tweens, teens and young adults with Learning Disabilities including dyslexia, their parents/carers, grandparents, educators including classroom teachers, integration aids and other professionals.

This special 3-hour workshop will look at a range of Inclusive Technologies that are being used in schools, universities and workplaces throughout the world that supports people with learning disabilities such as dyslexia in reading, writing, spelling and organisational skills.
